**About the opportunity**

The Service Foreman plays a key role in ensuring our Palmerston North Service Department operates efficiently and safely. A large part of your day will be hands-on in the workshop; managing escalated diagnostics and repairs, providing technical support to our workshop team and overseeing jobs to ensure a high standard of workmanship and mínimal re-work is achieved.

You will supervise a team of technicians and apprentices, providing guidance and support in daily operations, and ensuring adherence to Norwood's Health & Safety practices.

**To be successful we see these things as important**
- Heavy equipment trade qualification and at least 3 years experience in repairs & servicing of agricultural / heavy diesel machinery
- Excellent diagnostic and fault finding skills
- Experience supervising staff would be an advantage
- Thorough knowledge of farming, construction and ground care practices is preferable
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel

You will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week within our core business days and hours of Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, and also participate in an On-Call Roster to provide on-call support to Norwood customers.
