We have an exciting opportunity for an **Associate Civil Engineer** to join our fun loving, sociable transport infrastructure team. We support both local Canterbury projects and large national projects in the road and rail sectors. We have an impressive pipeline of work and are delivering the most sought-after projects in New Zealand. The role will report to the Section Leader Roads & Highways and work alongside Senior Engineers and Technical Leaders. You will be client focused, responsive and able to work towards identifying client needs. The purpose of this role is to provide engineering capability and leadership to our project teams, including but not limited to urban road design, road safety design, and oversight of construction projects as required.

The role provides technical expertise across civil, road, rail and urban infrastructure projects and includes involvement in the development of proposals and managing junior and intermediate staff, Global integrated delivery and remote teams. The role includes managing Jacobs risk on proposals and projects by undertaking engineering design and design / project management roles. #LI-AP1 #APMETransport #ANZTransport

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Appropriate relevant Qualifications (e.g. CPEng or similar)
- Significant knowledge and experience of civil and road engineering principles, methods, and deliverables for transport infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in design, project management and engineering verification.
- Experience overseeing construction as an engineers representative or on a collaborative contract
- Desire to work on large national projects or significant local projects
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring junior to mid-level staff.
- Ability to perform steadily during peak workload and remain calm under pressure
- Ability to drive a culture of inclusive, high performing integrated teams
