We're looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Technical Services & Design department, a team of technical professionals, all experts in their fields dedicated to delivering best value sustainable infrastructure.

**This is a varied and important role where you will**:

- Provide engineering support, design and reviews/approvals related to proposed stormwater network connections to the Council's network, for Three Waters - Asset Planning Team and the Building Control Team, and for roading related stormwater which includes providing advice to the roading designers, internal and consultants, at various stages of roading projects.
- Provide detailed technical reviews of external concept and detailed designs for water supply, wastewater and stormwater projects to ensure compliance with CCC standards.
- Provide design expertise, design inputs, and critically analyse/review designs including constructability checks and documentation from internal teams and external consultants
- Provide civil engineering services for three waters (water supply, wastewater and storm water) utilities and infrastructure to enable delivery of the capital programme

**To be successful for this role you will**:

- Have 7 or more years of experience as a Civil Engineer
- Have strong design and technical review skills
- Hold a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
- To be a Chartered Professional Engineer is an advantage
- Have extensive concept, detailed design and construction experience in water supply, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects. This will allow you to provide project design advice and to critically analyse and review designs of consultants and other professionals working on our projects

- Hours of work_ - 37.5 - 40 hours per week
- Location_ - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices_
