He angitūtanga | About the role
As the Team Lead Production Support and Engineering you will play a crucial role managing a team of engineers responsible for the efficient operation support of production IT Platforms and infrastructure systems within the Department of Conservation (DOC). This includes laptops, cloud infrastructure, meeting room technology and other end user tools. The role plays a critical function in ensuring the availability, reliability and performance of these systems to support the Departments operations

**The position will be focussed on**:

- helping to create and then drive the vision for the team, platforms and processes,
- bringing innovation to the team, process and use of the platforms,
- the performance of critical production IT systems and platforms (such as Microsoft & AWS),
- overseeing the teams' activities in managing servers, network storage and virtualisation platforms,
- leading the team in identifying, investigating and resolving incidents and problems related to production systems and infrastructure,
- driving continuous improvement initiatives with the team and across production support and infrastructure management processes,
- leading and supporting the team to achieve outcomes.

The salary range for this position is $109,193 - $146,598 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory - this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
