We are looking for an experienced team lead to join us as we ramp up for growth.

You have a technical background and a good understanding of effective software development processes, but most importantly, you are passionate about working with people.

You'll be coaching and supporting a small squad of software engineers to help them create great products.

About the role:

  • Lead an engineering squad, working closely with other technical leads and our product managers to plan and lead squad work prioritisation
  • Contribute ideas to the technical direction and architecture of the Engineering team
  • Line manage members of the Engineering team, taking responsibility for their development and growth at Montoux.
  • Lead our agile ceremonies for your squad
  • Take accountability for the planning and delivery of mediumlarge sized projects
  • Research new technologies and processes that will contribute to the success of Montoux Engineering objectives
  • Make sure we find clever and pragmatic ways to deliver requirements
  • Work across multiple systems and technologies.
  • Keep the Engineering team focused and delivering value.
  • You'll mentor software engineers, provide them with feedback, and support their career growth.

What you will bring:

  • You have experience leading a team of engineers and providing feedback and mentorship
  • Several years of software development experience, ideally in Python, JavaScript, or Go
  • AWS infrastructure experience and infrastructureascode
  • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of development methodologies such as Agile, Kanban, and Scrum
  • Experience working with git, pair programming, and code reviews
