We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse to join our team.

This role will play a critical role in the healthcare system by specialising in the care of patients with lipid disorders such as familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). This role encompasses patient identification, assessing appropriateness for clinical research and navigating the patient through their clinical pathway.

This is an advanced practice role to undertake a comprehensive assessment determines potential lipid disorder, CVD risk, treatment options, and clinical research appropriateness. The role is designed to work in partnership with the patients and their whanau to develop a plan of care in partnership with the Nurse Practitioner. This plan of care is reported electronically to the referring physician by the Clinical Nurse Specialist.

**We require the following**:

- Registered Nurse with a current annual practising certificate
- Post graduate Diploma in Cardiology nursing
- Evidence of advanced physical assessment, history taking, diagnostic reasoning and pharmacology knowledge
- At least 5 years post registration practice in cardiology nursing
- RN level 4 with current portfolio
