**About the Role**
An exciting opportunity has come up in our Managed Services team, working with clients from around the world using some of the newest cloud technologies and getting exposure to different technology stacks. We're looking for someone with experience working on/supporting Azure Cloud Administration and MSSQL Database Administration.

**What you bring to the table**
- 2+ years experience in Azure administration or development/support using Azure functions
- Intermediate to senior level skill set as a MSSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 3+ years hands-on experience
- 5+ years experience working in teams to provide IT Support to clients
- Strong knowledge of virtual machines, cloud networking, compute, storage, network components, including backup, monitoring and DR environment requirements.
- An understanding of the division of responsibility for designing and maintaining a secure cloud environment
- Understanding of key Information security principals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- An advantage: Intermediate to Senior level of skills in shell scripting and high-level programming languages like Python, R
- Lynix server support (advantageous)

**What your day to day would include**
- Database administration including technical support, health checks and performance monitoring/management in both on-premise environments and/or Azure Cloud services
- Monitoring systems and batch processes.
- Responding to client queries.
- Investigating and resolving issues.
- Designing and developing enhancements to client MSSQL Database and/or DW/BI solutions using best practice methodologies.
