**About the role**

There are thousands of components that are used on Electron across several global Manufacturing sites. Rocket Labs operates a Multi Echelon Supply chain with Global and local supply and distribution.

The Logistics Team at Rocket Lab Supports the Global Supply Chain [Procurement, Warehousing, Production and Launch Operations teams] by facilitating all planned and unplanned movements of material.
- Bulk Storage and Retrieval
- Remote site inventory controls
- ITAR Tracking.
- Fleet, Yard and Traffic Management.

The Logistics Lead is responsible for leading an agile team responsible for coordinating the on-time delivery and freight management of all Inbound/Outbound freight including any production work in process movements between manufacturing/test sites and ensuring all ITAR compliance is met.

**Essential skills**
- 5+ years previous relevant logistics experience
- Team leading experience
- A strong understanding of MS Office software
- A can-do attitude, open to learning with good organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and able to build working relationships
- Understanding of international shipping regulations
- Expert knowledge of the transport of DG by all modes
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and able to build working relationships
- Proven Team lead and development experience

**Desired Skills**
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to international shipping regulations, ideally ITAR
- Cost center management experience
- Forklift license (preferable)
- Class 2 Drivers Licence
