Auckland City, New Zealand Mitre10 Full time

We are seeking a customer focused Team Member to join our Mitre 10 MEGA Albany Garden Department. Your gardening passion may come from time in your own backyard or from your love of garden power tools - either way you will enjoy helping our customers select the right tools, equipment and hardware, along with all the dry goods whether it’s fertilizers and pest control or gardening gloves and a wheel barrow.

Ideally you will be experienced with the sale of both garden power tools or dry garden goods, although applicants with a proven retail background and who are eager to learn will be considered.

**Initial roster pattern**:

- Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday (to be confirmed at interview)

**For this position we are looking for someone who has**:

- **
Any appropriately related experience working within the green goods, garden care, garden hardware or garden power tool departments including outdoor tools and chemicals.**:

- Dedicated to providing an excellent customer service experience to our customer
- Willingness to share your passion for gardening with others
- Able to work one weekend day per week
- A good level of physical fitness to enable some heavy lifting is ideal.
- Good time management skills
- Enthusiasm, team spirit and a willingness to learn and further develop
- There is sometimes a need to move soils and other heavy products and so forklifting experience would be advantageous.
- If you have the ability to engage with our customers, work through their DIY or large-scale projects with them efficiently, then we would love to hear from you.
