**MŌ TĒNEU TŪRANGA MAHI - ABOUT THE ROLE**

We are looking for a full time Health Promotion Specialist to be based in either our Auckland Newmarket office or National Office Wellington. This position is a great opportunity for someone experienced in developing professional training and community education programmes.

You will be developing specialist health promotion content and create, maintain and update health promotion resources and ensure that these are up to date and reflective of best practice health promotion materials.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about the work of Family Planning and the delivery of services that promote diversity and inclusion.

**We would love to consider you for the role if you have the following**:

- Experience working in the field of public health/health promotion, education or community development.
- Experience in developing professional training and community education programmes for in-person and online seminar and self-directed online modules.
- Evidence of strong research skills.
- Knowledge of sexual and reproductive health issues, and relationships and sexuality education issues.
- Understanding of child, youth and adult learning methodologies.
- Sound knowledge of local health structures, education and social services.
- Sound critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Competent and confident user of technology including e-learning platforms and learning management systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and understanding of strategies to reduce disparities in Māori.
- Postgraduate tertiary qualification related to Public Health / Health Promotion / Education is desirable.
