Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We have an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Practice Supervisor to lead our team of enthusiastic and passionate Occupational Therapists within the Adult Community Services Allied Health service.
- Practice Supervisors provide clinical expertise and support and, coordinate day to day activities and workload as well as maintaining their own clinical expertise.
- This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute towards a range of service improvement activities within the team, with the support of your Service Lead, Allied Health Clinical and Quality Lead and Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator
- Occupational Therapists in the Allied Health service work with adults with physical disability and health needs, to maximise their safety and independence within the community setting, using the Person
- Environment-Occupation (PEO) model
- The team work alongside other health professionals based in a locality service delivery model

This is a fantastic opportunity to take your first step into a formal clinical leadership role with a leadership and management development programme and collegial support of the other Allied Health Practice Supervisors in Adult Community Services. This permanent, full-time (40 hours/week) position is based at Greenlane Clinical Centre.

As the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes:

- New Zealand registration as an Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
- 7+ years of clinical experience, additionally mentoring and coaching experience desirable
- Appropriate supervision training or progress towards completion
- EMS accredited equipment assessor desirable
- Clean, full NZ drivers' licence
- Excellent clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice
- Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary bicultural environment
- Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
- A flexible, pro-active approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
