**Mō te tūnga | Role Overview**

As a trusted advisor within our organisation, you will play a critical role in proactively working alongside our leadership team and governing bodies. You will do this by providing high quality, timely and commercially relevant legal advice.

Your ability to establish relationships means you will be able to influence an increased understanding of legal and contractual matters across the organisation. In this role, you will also:

- assist to identify, develop, communicate and achieve Pegasus’ strategic goals.
- support the Chief Financial Officer to ensure compliance with best practice governance policy and procedure.
- contribute to organisational risk management, procurement, tender responses, relationship management and continuous improvement activities.
- coordinate and monitor advice from external counsel as necessary, providing focussed and complete briefs.
- identify key terms and conditions relevant to legal arrangements and undertake related drafting and template development.

**Mōu | About you**
- has a proven track record of effective legal service provision.
- is a qualified solicitor with a current APC and at least 8 years post qualification experience.
- has knowledge of service provision and procurement and drafting of contracts.
- is able to identify and articulate legal opportunities and risks and provide pragmatic and realistic solutions.
- has the ability to engage and influence senior leaders and governors.
- has the ability to interpret legislation and translate it into effective operational approaches.
