**About the job**

For this role, you would be required to work on a casual / "if-and-when" / ad-hoc basis and not be guaranteed a set number of hours. You will be providing relief / cover for regular staff as and when needed. You will be offered a competitive hourly rate, will not be required to work nights and be based on-site.

**What will you bring?**
- You would have a minimum of 2 years front of house or barista experience working in a fast-paced café environment under pressure (this is not a role that offers training as you would be expected to provide cover for existing staff at short notice).
- You would be knowledgeable about both beverage preparation (smoothies, frapes, milkshakes and coffee) cabinet food plating and presentation.
- You would ideally have previous Barista experience (coffee art not required.)
- You have a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- You have clear, strong communication skills operating in a very busy, multi-skilled, small team
- You have the ability to work as-and-when required which could include peak periods, weekends and public holidays.

**Your typical day**
- Take orders at the counter, process the sale, heat and dish cabinet food, prepare smoothies and frapes, assist Barista as required and deliver completed orders (FOH and BOH dishes) to the tables.
- Preparation and presentation of counter food and beverages (hot and cold) according to Columbus Coffee specifications and Standards
- Monitor Barista/Counter requirements for cups, plates, saucers, cutlery, to ensure service times are maintained
- Support kitchen team if/as and when required which could include food prep, manning the dishwasher and/or dealing with the trash.
- Maintain a high level of food and general hygiene practice at all time, working to Health, Safety and Hygiene standards
