**Mō te tūnga - About the Role**

The Neonatal Service at Christchurch Women - s Hospital is an acute service providing secondary/tertiary care to new-born babies born prematurely or with surgical, congenital and medical complications following birth. We are a purpose built 44 bedded unit compromised of 12 intensive care and 32 special care cot - s with our catchment area covering approximately 20,000 square kilometres of the South Island.

We are looking for energetic and motivated hospital aides to work alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit team. In this role you will be required to work alongside the nursing staff to maintain a safe and clean, well-stocked work environment.

You will be responsible for:

- Maintenance and setting up equipment
- Stock control
- Maintaining a clean and safe Ward environment
- Ensuring that Health and Safety Polices and Procedures are followed at all times

- Knowledge of infection control aspects of cleaning and setting up of equipment - Desirable but not essential
- An understanding of effective stock/supply control practices - Desirable but not essential
