**About the opportunity**

We are looking for a Senior Process Technologist to join our Mozzarella Centre of Excellence team at our Clandeboye site in South Canterbury, where you will put your technical knowledge and project management expertise to best use across a wide range of activities including problem solving, process optimisation and new product development.

You will be joining our passionate and highly engaged team who work together to provide solutions and influence business decisions to ensure our plants work efficiently as possible. Reporting to the Mozzarella Centre of Excellence Team Lead, you will:

- Work alongside our production teams to help optimize plant performance and assist with the resolution of production issues that occur during plant operation.
- Liaise and partner with others across the Co-Op to deliver new products to our customers, providing a customer focused attitude to deliver value and world class solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, run product trials and deliver technical transformation projects to optimise process capacity, capability and efficiency.
- You will also help build capability across operations and technical teams through both formal instruction and coaching as well as informal guidance and advice.

**About you**

We are looking for a driven and inquisitive individual who has a strong technical mindset and passion for process improvement. We want to hear from you if you have:

- Proven technical experience
- ideally with food, dairy or manufacturing
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
- Experience in process improvement and change management including optimising capacity and efficiency
- Hands on project management experience, preferably from concept through to implementation
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.

A tertiary qualification within science or food/dairy technology is preferred but not essential. Additionally, experience in New Product Development and knowledge of cheese/dairy protein processes and products would be highly beneficial.
