**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:
The Analyst People & Culture (P&C) Data & Insights role will be responsible for providing specialist advice, accurate and timely information, insight, and reporting relating to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) workforce.

This role supports the measurement and achievement of objectives and data driven decision making concerning people through analysis, trend identification, and the development of people insights. You will also be responsible in engineering data for regular reporting to satisfy performance measures across P&C and MBIE and assist with any technical development to streamline processes.

The role will effectively sustain cohesion across all stakeholders that contribute to P&C Workforce Reporting requirements, mitigate any risks that impacts their operational and strategic outcomes, and analyse/derive the information necessary to produce the team’s reporting products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver workforce analytics and meaningful insights by the creation of metrics, reports, and dashboards
- Contribute to automatization and self-service reporting and development of workforce analytic processes, systems, and tools
- Maintain data integrity through accurate data within people systems
- Support the continuous improvement of workforce analytic systems, processes, and activities
- Supports ad-hoc projects that require significant amounts of understanding of people data, data analysis and/or report development, through SQL and/or Business Intelligence.
- Proactively develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with internal and external customers to ensure effective workforce analytic services are provided

- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred and/or comparable experience
- Proficient in Transact-SQL or similar with a minimum of 2 years’ experience; BI experience desirable
- Good understanding of data and insights practices
- The capability to analyse large, complex issues and readily grasp and assimilate the ideas, analysis and advice produced by others
- Proactively identifies key relationships and possesses an ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships, through trust and credibility
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex issues in a way that engages the audience
- Experience in an HR environment desirable
- Must be a NZ citizen or hold a residence class visa

The Data & Insights team sists within the Corporate Services branch in the Corporate Services, Finance & Enablement group. The Data & Insights team provides both operational and strategic reporting services based on all people metrics for the organisation.
