**The Role**

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this varied role you will be based in our Christchurch office and provide support to our seven offices across Australia and New Zealand. You will be part of the international Finance team based in the Netherlands, reporting to the International Payroll Manager.

If you have proven experience processing large complex payrolls in an international setting, have both internal and external stakeholder management experience and are collaborative team orientated individual, we would love to hear from you.

***In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- Responsible for the preparation and processing of on/off-cycle payrolls within tight deadlines.
- Absence/sick leave analysis.
- Time management related local reports (report for holiday accruals)
- Responding to colleagues’ enquiries.
- Manage relationships with various stakeholders (i.e., Finance, HR, etc.) and the payroll provider to ensure end-to-end process excellence.
- Complete SOX controls to ensure the data integrity and accuracy.
- Responsible for process documentation and update the processes to comply with statutory regulations, collective labor agreement and company policies.
- Support various internal and external audits.
- Support the monthly and year end preparation, balancing and reconciliation of the following: payroll tax, superannuation, deductions, staff loans and general payroll queries.
- Continuously improve the efficiency of day-to-day payroll operations through work processes improvements.

**In order to be successful in this role, you should have**:

- ** **Minimum 5 years of experience working in an international environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in every aspect of the role is essential.
- Knowledge of SuccessFactors (desired but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a team member with a proactive approach.
- Logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders including local payroll providers.
- Respect for confidential information.
- Intermediate to advance MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
- System knowledge of payroll software (e.g: Definitiv & Datacom) - Desired but not essential.
- Knowledge of time leave legislation in Australia and New Zealand.
