We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our team in Dunedin for a 14-month fixed-term period during maternity leave cover. This person will report to the Marketing and Communications Advisor and will be responsible for supporting the team with marketing materials, brand management, internal communications, event coordination, supplier relations, and administrative duties.

**About the role:
- Assist the Marketing and Communications team in evaluating and implementing marketing and communication plans, analysing data, setting objectives, planning, organising promotional events and presentations, and updating marketing materials.
- Ensure internal messages are communicated to employees in a clear, timely and effective manner, using a high-impact writing style and format.
- Support the end-to-end event management process by helping coordinate company events, including logistics, vendor coordination, itineraries, and ordering marketing collateral.
- Prepare marketing collateral including signage, promotional products, and informational material.
- Assist the production of the Delta Video Newsletter including travel requirements, company-wide memos, the Delta Home intranet page, corporate website, social media, and other publications.
- Draft, edit, design, and revise content as required.
- Help maintain the company’s brand standards.
- Help build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Support social media and website communications to deliver strong brand awareness and market our quality service.
- Help prepare marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring reach and programme success.

**What you need to succeed**:

- Tertiary level qualification (or about to graduate) in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or related fields.
- Strong administrative skills, able to carry out typical administrative tasks and accurately prepare documents.
- Excellent customer service skills, responding to requests promptly, accurately, and appropriately.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced MS Office user with the ability to learn new software effectively.
- Experience in marketing or communications is advantageous.
- Event coordination experience is advantageous.
- Application of basic design work or photography is advantageous.
- A self-starter, who is both organised and disciplined.
