**What will you do?**

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to provide legal support to the inhouse legal team, management, and staff based in our Christchurch office on a 12-month fixed term basis. Please note, this position is for a parental leave cover starting in January 2025.

**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Providing legal advice to Ryman on a range of matters including corporate/commercial issue
- Preparing and drafting legal documents, including contracts and agreements, letters, correspondence
- Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers and customers, resolving issues, and responding to queries.
- Assisting with internal legal and regulatory compliance (including listed company compliance matters, investor relations and reporting)

**Who are you?**
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and a NZ Practicing Certificate
- You have 4-8 years PQE with relevant experience gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal role
- You value people and kindness and are passionate about delivering results
- You strive for excellence and look for ways to exceed expectations. You can deliver with confidence in a fast-paced environment
- You believe in the value of strong, positive, trusting teams who work together as one
- You are resilient and can demonstrate composure under pressure
