Due to current business opportunities, we are looking to appoint an **Associate Civil Engineer** to join our fast-growing Water team for our New Zealand operations. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated and high-performing team of water professionals to deliver a range of significant projects for both public and private sector clients both locally and nationally.

**Responsibilities will include**:
The purpose of this role is to provide specialised design work with a focus on stormwater. You’ll be developing solutions to complex problems requiring a comprehensive understanding of practices, techniques, concepts and theoretical principles.

In this role you will:

- Establish and maintain client relationships.
- Co-ordinate different groups involved in design and oversees multi-disciplinary teams.
- Report on and monitor progress on stormwater and health water designs.
- Consider multiple perspectives to identify different solutions.
- Be able to work independently and lead functional teams or projects.

**Here’s what you’ll need**:

- Qualified Civil Engineer with professional recognition.
- Extensive previous experience on civil design projects
- Experience in stormwater design preferrable.
- Good knowledge of relevant industry related New Zealand Standards and codes.
- Displays technical leadership and is exemplar in quality delivery and review processes.
- Takes responsibility and accountability for work activities and coordinating design efforts
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
