The Community Stroke Rehabilitation (CSR) team based at Middlemore Hospital, has an exciting opportunity for a registered Dietitian.

The CSR team provides community based rehabilitation to adult patients that have sustained a stroke. If you enjoy variety, new challenges, working in a multicultural setting, being part of an interdisciplinary community team and having flexibility with your work hours, then this could be the role that you have been waiting for.

This role works across a variety of community settings, including patient’s homes. The ideal applicant is self-motivated and enjoys working in a flexible and challenging environment, has great communication skills, able to think outside the box, efficient in time management, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a strong quality-focussed interdisciplinary team. You may also be involved with dietetic student training and encouraged to participate in service development and project work.

To get you started in this role, the team will provide you with full orientation. You will also continuously receive support from the section head, professional leader and other team members and in-patient Dietitians. Counties Manukau District also fully supports ongoing education and development of all employees. This role also offers flexibility to those who want a great work/life balance.

**Essential**:

- BCapSc or BSc, and Post Grad Dip Diet or equivalent as recognised by the NZ Dietitians Board
- NZRD with current annual practicing certificate
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience and knowledge of dietetic practice
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work in an inter-disciplinary team
- Cultural awareness and understanding
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Full current NZ driver's license

- Experience supervising students and junior staff
