**We are seeking a Kaihautū to work with in both the Fraser McDonald Unit and Haumaru Ōrite**:

- **Permanent, full-time role (40 hours), Monday to Friday**:

- **Based in Auckland City Hospital**

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The Kahautū works strategically and collaboratively with management and the clinical teams of the Fraser McDonald Unit and Haumaru Ōrite to ensure services are Te Tiriti o Waitangi adherent and equity focused in order to attain pae ora for Māori tāngata whaiora and their whānau.

**Ngā Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

We are looking for individuals with the following experience and skills:

- Proven experience working with tāngata whaiora and whānau Māori and an ability to understand complex whānau dynamics
- Knowledge of tikanga Māori and confidence to lead Māori rituals of engagement
- Demonstrated competence in a cultural leadership role
- A level 4 certificate in Mental Health Support Work (or equivalent relevant qualification)
- Fluency in te reo me ona tikanga
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
