Since its inception in 1968, New Zealand National Fieldays Society has played a leading role in advancing agriculture for the benefit of New Zealand through collaborative leadership in innovation, education and globalisation. As well as organising and hosting events, the Society encompasses the wider fields of agriculture and rural life, and successfully bridges the gap between town and country.

The Society goes beyond mere box-ticking when it comes to environmental and sustainability initiatives, where it embraces the responsibility of creating a positive impact on the community and planet.

Reporting to the Head of Customer and Strategic Engagement, this position coordinates and supports large scale events by contributing to the design and implementation of strategies and plans. With a strong operational focus, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities including:

- End to end project management of Fieldays and potential future events
- Assisting with event budgets, growth plans and opportunities
- Utilising project software to manage timelines and reporting
- Collaborating with other business units to ensure effective delivery of all aspects of events
- Supporting relationships with key stakeholders including exhibitors, contractors and volunteers
- Monitoring and managing expenditure to align with event budgets
- Pre and post event briefings to whole of team
- Ensuring the required levels of Health & Safety management for events are maintained

**We are keen to secure interest from applicants who have a background in the project management of events. In addition, we are looking for**:

- Previous experience with complex projects
- Outstanding communication and presentation ability
- Creativity, enthusiasm, high energy and results focus
- Impressive organisational and time management skills
- An understanding of project costings/budgets
- Flexibility and adaptability to sometimes work outside of standard working hours
- Passion and flair to contribute to world class events
