You will be joining a busy team in managing and maintaining inventory for New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) as part of the Defence Equipment Management Organisation (DEMO). This role focuses on Materiel Requirements Planning (MRP), purchasing and inventory functions to support the through life management of materiel.

**Duties for this role will include**:

- Managing inventory levels within SAP.
- Creation and monitoring of Purchase Orders.
- Maintain and update SAP inventory Data and Records.
- Handling invoices, including reconciliation, freight and purchase orders.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

This role is based in Trentham, Wellington. Flexible working arrangements, including some work from home options, are available once you are established in the role.

You will be an effective communicator with a strong attention to detail and the ability to build a strong team rapport to ensure a good team fit. Out-of-the-box thinking, a willingness to learn and a commitment to helping others to ensure the wider team is supported during busy periods.

**To be successful in the role, you will need**:

- Excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good computer skills, including a strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and an intermediate level of Excel.
- The ability to adapt to ever changing priorities.

Experience in Purchasing and/or Inventory management and knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems would be an advantage, but not essential for the role.
**Please note**: Some Domestic Travel is required for this position.
