Mō tēnei tūrangi mahi | About this role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Advisor to join our newly established Climate Strategy team that sits within our dynamic Climate Business Group.

**Key areas of focus of the role include**:

- Provide Ministers and other decision makers with high quality strategic advice on issues across the climate portfolio
- Contribute and lead deep, strategic work to deliver on long-term climate priorities, especially at the intersection between priority topics
- Provide shape, scope, challenge and a rapid perspective on new, emerging ideas
- Build strong links to others working on climate strategy across government and with external experts

You will work closely with teams in the Climate Business Group, but also spend time working with other agencies, iwi, business, local government and the academic and NGO communities.
As a Senior, you will be a founding member of the team and play an integral role in shaping its purpose, function and outcomes. You will have opportunities to provide leadership for a wide range of projects and mentor junior members of the team to build capability.
We are open to someone joining us on a fixed term or secondment basis.

Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
Salary range for this role is $101,802 to $124,424 pa (as at July 21). Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
