Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Our high-performing Customer Engagement team wants to hear from you. We're looking for a confident, proven professional who is a strong, strategic operator across stakeholder and customer engagement and communications, who can effectively partner with the business to achieve our strategic intentions, improve customer experience and raise the capability of our internal teams and uphold our strong reputation.
Part of a talented, multidisciplinary team, you'll be responsible for working closely with the business to identify communications and engagement opportunities and risks, to develop relevant and outcomes-focused plans and strategies, and to collaborate with colleagues to deliver tangible benefits for New Zealand. Your knowledge of te ao Māori and experience with engaging with Māori will play a big part in helping us forge and strengthen our partnerships and continue to be a trusted and honourable Treaty partner.
No two days will be the same as you use your project management and interpersonal skills to navigate and influence a complex, agile environment and deliver outstanding, measurable outputs and advice.

He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience
You will need a high level of initiative, flexibility and a willingness to undertake a wide range of activities that help make Toitū Te Whenua successful at building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and customers, safeguarding our reputation and raising the capability of your colleagues in communications and engagement.

**You will also**:

- Be able to provide strategic communications and engagement advice to internal stakeholders.
- Be able to strengthen relationships with existing stakeholders and customers and build relationships with new ones.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to work effectively and competently with people at all levels; internally and externally
- Be able to influence change and drive improvement initiatives in an agile environment
- Have experience working with Māori partners and audiences
- Have an understanding of te ao Māori and/or te reo Māori
- Have the ability to provide professional leadership to the wider Customer Engagement Team to help develop skills and grow capability
- Be a role model for new ways of working and agile work practices.

This position is available in either Wellington, Hamilton, or Christchurch
The expected appointment range for this position is $116,249 - $157,277
