**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
We have a permanent, full-time opportunity available to join our Environmental Health and Compliance team as a **Coordinator. **This role is critical in enabling the delivery of the NPHS strategic agenda for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures).
The purpose of the team Coordinator role is to provide a range of day-to-day coordination functions, including project co-ordination and product delivery, to enable the Health Protection Directorate to deliver on a high-quality work programme. The Protection directorate has several co-ordinator roles, with each providing support and knowledge across team. This position description describes the core purpose, key result areas, general relationships and experience needs required. Where there are additional domain or context specific needs these are described further in the attached schedule for each position.

You're master of task prioritisation, with the ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities to support the team. You excel at being the go-to point of contact for urgent matters, ensuring seamless communication within the group. You also actively contribute to the implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance at all levels. Your coordination skills shine through when it comes to scheduling and managing meetings, as wells as gathering essential documents to facilitate decision making. **Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- A relevant tertiary qualification - or comparable experience
- Has proven experience in administration and/or coordination
- Minimum 2-3 year in coordination and administration roles
- Demonstrates an ability to provide work programme/project coordination, and planning support
