**About the role**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global healthcare company who are leaders in the Aged Care sector in New Zealand.This is a complex and challenging role where you will maintain hands on payroll processing while also assisting the Payroll Manager with supporting a team that delivers payroll for 4000+ staff on a complex fortnightly and rostered pay run.

Reporting to our Payroll Manager and acting as their 2 I/C where you will be driving a customer focused, efficient and effective payroll administration and processing service by leading stakeholder management, assisting with supervision, direction and support to the Payroll Team to ensure accurate processing of the pay and lead and coordinate the daily operation of the payroll team workflow.

Offering hybrid working, this role can be based out of either Porirua or Auckland.

**Where you’ll make an impact**
- Lead and drive the Stakeholder management, supervision, direction and support to the Payroll Team to ensure delivery of all services in an accurate and timely manner.
- Oversee the day-to-day payrun processing, ensuring each payrun is completed within the deadline, correctly balances, and reconciles with the General Ledgers.
- Coordinate and assist the payroll team to maintain and process all Bupa ANZ payrolls in an accurate, efficient and timely manner in accordance with company policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Liaise with the payroll Manager on reviewing current payroll processes on an ongoing basis to achieve efficient payroll processes are in place.
- This role will also be responsible for all payments and overseeing taxation and superannuation processes.

- Proven experience as a supervisor managing the day-to-day processing of a large payroll function.
- Experience in both New Zealand and Australian payroll administration, reporting and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Employment Relations Acts and legislation appropriate to both New Zealand and Australian payroll environment.
- Knowledge of electronic payroll systems.
- Experience in Chris21 is essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
