Our hardworking and busy Power team based in Christchurch are seeking an experienced Outage Planner to carry out outage planning of scheduled/unscheduled Maintenance, Projects and Transmission Lines work in the upper half of the South Island.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This is a busy role that looks after up to 30 outages a month. Your day to day responsibilities include compiling operating sequences for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance project, and lines work. You will be responsible for the documentation of substation access or test permit area, including isolation points and earthing requirements working safely in the Transpower HV switchyard.

This role will also look after the preparation of switching folders for maintenance switcher and field operators required for scheduled or unscheduled work, including faults. They will be responsible for creating outage window requests in Transpower outage system (IONS) as well as carrying out other administrative activities in this system.

**Other key responsibilities include**
- Resource planning
- Stakeholder management particularly with other connected parties such as Orion, Mainpower, EA, Westpower, Network Tasman, and Transpower
- Compile the Switching Job Card for all the Scheduled/Unscheduled Work
- Liaise with Administrator to create the MAXIMO/SAP work order numbers required for the Maintenance Switcher/Field Operator on their time sheet.

There is a focus on working as part of one big national Power team, sharing information with supervisors, team leaders, and other team members as and when it is appropriate.
