Join our dedicated and friendly team in the Pharmacy at Waitemata District.

An exciting full-time job opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated store-person who would like to develop their career. While sharing the store-person role with another pharmacy staff member, you will enroll in the National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) course and spend much of your time training on the job to be a pharmacy technician.

The store-person component of the role involves receipting, rotating and putting away stock, as well as a number of other general duties within the pharmacy department.

The trainee pharmacy technician component provides a service to Medical, Surgical, Obstetric, Pediatric and Mental Health specialties. This involves managing and supplying ward imprests, including the use of an automated medicine distribution system, individual patient dispensing, and repackaging solid oral dosage forms.

Applicants must be keen to learn, and willing to put in the time to gain the National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) qualification issued by NZQA. We will provide you with on the job training, which is required to enroll in this course. The store-person component of the role also requires the ability to lift reasonably heavy boxes.
