Position Description | Speech Therapist, Shared Services (Parental leave)
We have a vacancy for a Speech Language Therapist to cover parental leave. We have two fixed terms roles available (up to 1 year), and both part time and full time hours will be considered. Experienced Speech Language Therapist would be preferred but new graduates will also be considered.

The Speech Language Therapy (SLT) service at Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti provides assessment and rehabilitation for patients, both adults and children, with acquired and developmental swallowing and/or communication disorders. The SLT department provides an in-patient, out-patient and community service. The SLT service works with people who have difficulties related to speech, fluency, voice, language, augmentative and alternative communication, and dysphagia. These difficulties can be caused by head and neck cancer, stroke, traumatic brain injury, developmental disorders, progressive neurological disorders, or can be due to other causes.
