Position Description | **Casual** **Speech Therapist, Shared Services**

We have seeking a Casual Speech Language Therapist for our Acute Adult and Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Team. Experienced Speech Language Therapist would be preferred ideally with Paediatric experience.

The Speech Language Therapy (SLT) service at Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti provides assessment and rehabilitation for patients, both adults and children, with acquired and developmental swallowing and/or communication disorders. The SLT department provides an in-patient, out-patient and community service. The SLT service works with people who have difficulties related to speech, fluency, voice, language, augmentative and alternative communication, and dysphagia. These difficulties can be caused by head and neck cancer, stroke, traumatic brain injury, developmental disorders, progressive neurological disorders, or can be due to other causes.
