**The Company**:
An engineering consulting firm that provides a range of services, in building services Engineering, most notably known for its electrical and mechanical departments. Having recently branched out into Structural Engineering here in New Zealand, they have an established team of Structural Engineers and are now seeking a BIM Lead / Coordinator. Working on a variety of projects, including commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, airports, and sports arenas. They prioritize sustainable design and have been involved in several green building initiatives.
**The Role**:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Technician with a strong background working on commercial and or industrial projects to join the Auckland office. As the BIM Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the implementation of Building Information Modeling processes and tools within our structural engineering department, with support from the BIM Manager in Australia.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and manage BIM standards and procedures for structural engineering projects
- Collaborate with project teams to establish BIM project execution plans and ensure their successful implementation
- Manage BIM workflows, including clash detection, model coordination, and 4D/5D simulations
- Oversee the production of 2D drawings and 3D models for construction documents
- Maintain and manage project data and documentation in BIM software
- Participate in project meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to present BIM models and provide technical support
**Qualifications**:
- 5 years of experience in BIM management in the structural engineering field
- Expertise in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360
- Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and construction practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and clients
