Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
You will manage the delivery of the Toitū Te Whenua IT supplier contract performance and compliance and maintain best practice governance model. This will include preparation for and conducting, regular reviews of the contracts with our IT suppliers. Negotiating and agreeing any amendments necessary, to ensure they deliver their intended benefits and looking for opportunities for continuous improvements. **This position does not entail managing a team**: rather, you will be in charge for the IT commercial and contract delivery.

The IT Contract and Commercial Manager, as champion for the partnership approach between Toitū Te Whenua and our key IT suppliers, oversees overall IT contract performance to ensure technology effectively enables Toitū Te Whenua business outcomes to be met. This includes monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs), negotiation of variations, and commercial service assessments to ensure business needs are met.

**He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience**:

- Having previous experience in an IT Contract and Commercial Manager role or similar preferably for a government agency. Craft, evaluate, negotiate and execute a wide variety of different contracts covering a range of transactions.
- Being a great negotiator, a very good listener and highly analytical. The ability to be personable and tenacious is also key to the position. You have to know how to deal with people and make evaluations based on what's right instead of what you like
- Experience of writing technical documentation, memo's. Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established I.T. contracts and those in progress.
- Understanding of DIA marketplace procurement process and maintaining CMS pipelines
- Has experience implementing and following best practice contract management methodology. Create and maintain relationships with suppliers and serve as the singular point of contact for matters concerning I.T. contracts.
- Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales
- Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension or renewal according to what's best for the company.
