Principal Civil Engineer

About the role:
Day to day you will lead the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects spanning water and wastewater networks; treatment plants; stormwater schemes; and related infrastructure.
You will join an innovative and motivated team of engineers based in our Central Auckland office, preparing outline and detailed civil engineering designs, producing technical and commercial specifications, drawings, and schedules, managing projects and working in close partnership with clients and contractors.
This role will be pivotal broadening our existing relationships with local clients and will present you with a fantastic opportunity to further develop your technical and management skills through your project work, with great prospects for career progression as the business continues to grow. You will also be able to use your skills and experience to mentor more junior members of the team.

- About you:
You are looking for your role which will place you in the centre of a thriving water team, to expand and grow our engineering capabilities, enabling you to demonstrate and enhance your technical excellence and business acumen.
You will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- Extensive civil engineering experience with capability in a range of civil water design skill areas
- Design management experience including working in complex, large infrastructure projects
- Proven client liaison and communication skills
- Experience working with contractors, and on site construction monitoring
- Ability to manage/direct multi-disciplinary three waters design projects to achieve business objectives of quality, time, and cost
