We are looking to hire an ambitious team leader to support this success by growing a high-performance team dedicated to the development and optimisation of MEGA’s sophisticated SDK.

**About the role**:
As a DevOps Team Lead, MEGA will look to you to build, manage, and optimise our digital infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automated systems. You will function as a bridge between stakeholders and developers, working to understand product requirements and translate them into technical specifications; also, you will be required to identify production issues and implement integrations that meet our business and user needs.
- Engineer high-performance, high-capacity code that is concise, testable, scalable, and adheres to our strict security and privacy standards
- Encourage growth and engagement within your team through mentorship and knowledge-sharing, fostering a work environment in which engineers can thrive.
- Draw from industry-leading methodology to contribute to established engineering practices and our technical infrastructure, improving overall reliability and efficiency.
- Be responsible for creating a work environment that inspires and motivates, and is a place engineers thrive in.
- Help increase team agility and velocity by developing standards and resolving issues.
- Strategising and executing on infrastructure upgrades along side Systems Admins.
- Assisting with CI/CD and investigating issues when outages occur.
- Improving the practice, performance of the system.
- Design and build CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and increase development team productivity.
- Address persistent pain points and bottlenecks by reducing technical debt, efficiently leveraging tools, and automating manual processes where possible.
- Collaborate with the Product, Design, and QA teams as you build the tools required to produce seamless user experiences for our massive userbase.

Please note that we run an asynchronous, hybrid-remote model at MEGA, and this role may require early-morning or late-night availability as you work alongside staff in different time zones.

**About you**:
You’re technical and a team leader with a passion for the industry and a keen awareness of the latest trends, technologies, and approaches. While you are able to work effectively in a self-directed manner, you also enjoy sharing your knowledge and empowering your colleagues to work as a highly productive, close-knit team.

You demonstrate MEGA’s values by taking ownership of your work and pursuing continuous improvement, proactively identifying present or potential issues and seeking to efficiently resolve them.

Also, you have:

- A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Highly disciplined, ambitious and is a high achiever
- Enjoys working with people and have superb communication skills
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum
- Has 2+ years experience as a Team Lead
- Ability to successfully manage your team, serious about moving the needle to achieve set outcomes
- Ability to quickly understand technical concepts, analytical and can easily explain it to his team
- Previous experience in a DevOps role where they had a large part in the development of the CI/CD System, pipelines (Gitlab ideally)
- Be able to work alongside Development teams as well as Sysadmins
- A variety of source control and build management technologies such as Git, and Jenkins.
- Linux/Open Source experience Ansible and automation experience
