The Anxiety Disorders Service (ADS) provides assessment and treatment to consumers who have a primary diagnosis of an Anxiety Disorder. We are seeking a registered, experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team. As a nurse you will become an integral member of our dynamic multidisciplinary team, comprised of a Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Nurse Therapists, Pukenga Atawhai, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Registrar, Physiotherapist, Psychology Interns and administration staff.

This position offers you an opportunity to further develop your nursing practice and gain valuable experience in this specialist area. You will be part of a team providing individual and group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for people who experience anxiety disorders.

**Pehea | About You**

Ideally, we are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse with expertise in psychiatric assessment and case management. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a skilled multidisciplinary team is essential. A compassionate and empathetic approach to care is important, along with experience in CBT and anxiety disorders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds are highly valued.

The successful applicant will receive supervision and would be mentored by staff expert in the CBT treatment of a range of anxiety disorders.

We have a permanent 0.6 FTE position available.

- You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with a current NZ practicing certificate - must include scope for Mental Health Nursing
- As an experienced mental health nurse you will bring skills in psychiatric assessment and case management
- Knowledge of and a commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi
- Skills / experience using CBT in your work with clients is required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people is paramount in this role
- A current NZ Driving Licence.
