There is an exciting opportunity for a Community
Mental Health nurse to work as a case manager in South Community Mental Health
Team. You will be part of one of four multidisciplinary teams providing acute
and ongoing mental health care to clients living in Christchurch. The Community Nurse will utilise nursing
knowledge and skills to provide safe and effective nursing care to consumers
that have complex mental health needs within the Mental Health Service.

As a professional and highly motivated nurse, who
displays a positive attitude, you will enjoy being part of a committed and
diverse multidisciplinary team, working in collaboration with a group of
professionals that recognise the importance of providing quality care and services to their clients, friends and whanau.
Critical thinking skills will be utilised to make safe autonomous decisions regarding the management of nursing care. The Community Nurse will contribute to nursing team development and leadership, and provide nursing input into multi-disciplinary forums.
You case manage a group of clients and be
responsible for assessing, planning and implementing care collaboratively with
our clients and their family/whanau, primary care, community supports and our
inpatient teams.
You will work during normal office hours, Monday to
Friday.

Officer who has been trained and signed off as being able facilitate the MHA.
- A NZ Registered Nurse with current
Annual Practising Certificate You will be skilled in assessing and managing
risk.
