**Scope of work**

The Christchurch based Graduate Transportation Engineer will contribute to a variety of local and national transport projects for a diverse range of clients. You will be part of our large and experienced Christchurch transport team, where you will be gaining and developing your engineering skills and knowledge, supporting you on your transport engineering journey.

You will participate in our industry leading graduate development program, with on and off the job skills development, and building your professional network building whilst having great fun with your peers. This is a great example of one of our values - We are Better Together.

Initially being part of our transport design team, your focus will be supporting our team design and deliver transport engineering projects. Your role will give you opportunities across our wider team, including transport advisory, transport safety, transport engineering, and transportation planning.

Examples of the type of work as part of the design team includes:

- **Design and Delivery**: 3D design modelling, CAD (e.g., intersection design), procurement and contract documentation
- **Infrastructure and Construction Management**: Construction monitoring, contract and program management, scheduling, and costing
- **Transport Advisory**: High-level planning strategies and policies, business cases, economic analysis of significant infrastructure projects.
- **Traffic Engineering and Planning**: Transport modelling, integrated transport assessments, private development work and transport safety
