**Ko te kaupapa | About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a MIT wanting to gain experience in leadership and management. Working with the Radiology leadership team, and a team of roughly 20 MIT's the general charge MIT is responsible for the running of x-ray, fluoroscopy, mobiles, two rural departments and theatre.

Whanganui Radiology is a small, friendly department. Patient care is at the centre of all we do, and a smile goes a long way.

The general x-ray department has recently been rebuilt with four new Siemens DR x-ray rooms, (two in the hospital and two in the rural areas (Raetihi and Taihape)) and a new Siemens screening room installed. We have two mobile x-ray units (Philips and Siemens) and two image intensifiers, both Siemens. The department is also in the process of building a new MRI suit.

**Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role**:

- 5+ years' post grad experience in Radiology.
- Experience in building + sustaining collaborative working relationships
- Passion for service improvement
- Advanced knowledge of general x-ray systems
- Good working knowledge of word and excel

This role requires a minimum of 1 FTE. This is to allow for administration and clinical hours.
