We are currently looking for a Specialist Cleaner to help and support our team primarily based in the Auckland region, with travel around the wider Auckland region and upper north island when required.

About the role: Tasks and Resonsibilities:

- Perform a wide range of cleaning duties to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the shopping mall and commercial sites.
- Utilize specialized cleaning equipment and techniques to handle specific cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate with the contract manager and other stakeholders to address any specific cleaning requirements or concerns.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring an adequate stock is always held.
- Assist with other cleaning duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself, your team, and mall visitors.
- Plan for safe and efficient cleaning activities in an environmentally responsible manner
- Routinely interact with client representative and ensure all service delivery requirements and
- reporting requirements of contract are completed on time.
- Place Monthly orders to your assigned Manager at the start of month and reduce orders in the
- system through good stock keeping procedures.
- Machinery breakdown - Reports for action, follow up on reported breakdowns.
- Keep accurate Tag n Testing and preventative maintenance records in the system.
- Work closely with RTW coordinator in providing duties to suit RTW Plans
- Identify new opportunities for improved process and profitability.
- Manage workplace safety arrangements
- Report any OHS&E hazards or incidents identified in the workplace
- Comply with work instructions & Group Integrated Management System (IMS) policies
- Deliver Tool Box chats from calendars and IMS training sessions when required
- Maintain and manage a cleaning storage area
- Provide effective and friendly customer service
- Maintain a hard floor surface and restore a hard floor surface through planning and quality
- Implementing spillage procedure
- Implement wet weather procedures
- Comply with hygiene policies and procedures
- Comply with infection control policies and procedures
- Maintain equipment in good condition
- Operate radio in accordance with company and client policy
- Displaying wet floor or hazard signage
- Report hazards and incidents, Report suspicious activity
- Comply with open-up and lock-up procedures and keeping safe issued keys or swipe passes
- Conduct administration duties as required and timely replies to all internal and external

- Ensure periodical items are actioned on time in accordance with contract specification
- Manage plan and oversee the delivery of training to all Specialist staff and where applicable

- Manage with Account Manager all scheduling of tasks and ensure the team are well informed of
- their work schedules and tasks.
- Attend any Health and Safety or other management meetings when requested.
- Knowledge of handling and use of Cleaning chemicals
- 1-2 years Commercial cleaning experience
- Deeping cleaning experience
- Experience in using cleaning machinary: a carpet cleaner, Water blaster
- Window cleaning and blade experience

Shift Details:

- Sunday - Thursday [10:30 PM - 06:30 AM]
- 37.5 hours per week

Skills Essential to job
- working experience as a specialist cleaner Preferred but not required with 1+ years’ experience.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
- Must have proven experience in Floor striping and sealing
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Ability to understand operation of cleaning equipment and provide training to staff (if required) in
- safe and effective operation
- Ability to operate radio and utilise call signs

Qualifications and Must Haves:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a valid Full Driver’s License.
- A Diploma in applied Business Management Level 7 or simimlar qualification level.
- Pass a Ministry of Justice (Criminal Conviction History) check
- Physically fit to do the job.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Good attention to detail.
- A reliable work ethic with great customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, following training and instructions.
