**He aha t**ā**u e mahi ana | What You’ll Be doing**:
Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the key focus of this role is to help deliver optimal engineering and operational maintenance performance, ensuring business continuity and achievement of agreed KPIs with a critical focus on our can seaming operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Seamer setup and operation including fault finding and remedy
- Can teardown quality inspection for seaming integrity is critical
- Identify and adjust seaming equipment covering difference between standard seams and mini seams, can heights & diameters
- Maintain the highest standard of operational machinery and equipment for the site
- Implement and maintain a structured and effective schedule for checks, repairs, and maintenance, minimizing impact on operations
- Ensure all equipment and machinery meets regulatory safety standards
- Manage repairs and breakdowns; ensure reliability of machinery through robust monitoring (reliability maintenance)
- Maintain workshop and ensure all inventory is recorded, stored safely and securely
- Work closely with on-site management team to ensure continuous improvement of processes and practices, staying up to date with best practice safety standards
- Supporting Operators that are not mechanically minded to troubleshoot equipment failures
- Use of Continuous Improvement Tools (YY, 5W1H, RCA etc.) for problem solving

No day is the same at Moana, so be prepared to be on the go, juggle multiple priorities and work with a variety of people. As a doer, no job will be too small or big and you will be comfortable working both autonomously and in a team.

**Ko ng**ā** mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitu te haere |What you**’**ll need to be successful**:
This role requires a hardworking, reliable, and motivated individual, you will have a minimum of 8 - 10 years’ experience working as a maintenance engineer including minimum 5 years as a Seamer Technician, preferably JBT/Zacmi Seamers. Ideally a background in canned food manufacturing, with a formal mechanical or electrical qualification.

***Key experience required**:

- High speed fully automated Can (Tinplate) Seaming expertise including the ability to perform full overhauls of the Seaming equipment
- Maintenance of safety stops and guarding
- Skilled ability to use engineering tools, e.g., welding equipment
- Sound working knowledge of health & safety protocols and practices including hazard and incident reporting
- Proven experience developing and implementing scheduling maintenance programs
- Computer literate, process orientated and strong attention to detail

You will be meticulous in maintaining equipment, and the workshop, and have robust inventory management systems. You will be known as someone who operates in an ethical, productive, and engaging manner.

**Terms and Conditions**
- This role pays a minimum of $40 per hour to a maximum of $43 per hour
- Overtime conditions apply
- 40-hour work week (full time permanent role)
- Contribution to relocation costs within NZ
