We are looking for a professional, energetic and certified Early Childhood Teacher to cover staff absences in our group of ECE centres in the Bay of Plenty. Initially, this is a fixed term position while we trial the concept of having a reliever with guaranteed weekly hours. In this position you will work a minimum of 28 hours per week, with the potential to pick up more hours as and when needed.
**About us**
Anglican Care Waiapu (ACW) is the social services arm of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapu. Our ECE centres are located across eight locations in Bay of Plenty, Tairāwhiti and Hawkes Bay and offer safe, nurturing, and educational environments for children and whānau to thrive. **Mō te tūranga | About the role**
This position would be based in the Bay of Plenty and provides relieving services to our five early childhood services in Tauranga, Rotorua, Mount Maunganui, Papamoa and Whakatane.
In your role as an ECE Teacher you will be responsible for the day-to-day education, well-being, and health and safety of children attending our centre; ensuring provision of education and care to service standards. You will also demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi and bi-cultural practice and meet the Teaching Council’s required Teaching Standards. The role requires a teacher with a strong values base and who conducts themselves with integrity, professionalism, and care.
Each ECE centre has its own philosophy and ways of being and doing. Therefore, you must be able to adjust and adapt your work style and practice to each environment.
**Ko wai koe | About you**
You will be a Registered ECE Teacher who thrives in a busy environment. **Key Requirements**:
It is essential you have an ECE or Primary teaching qualification recognised by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand. You must also have full or provisional registration. You will also possess:
- A love and passion for working with children and their whānau
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong professional ethics
- Ability to work effectively within a team and a commitment to excellent early childhood practice
- A willingness to embrace the Anglican Care Waiapu values and mission
- Proven experience in planning, assessment, evaluation, and self-review
- Knowledge and practice of Te Whāriki and MOE Licensing Criteria
- A willingness to work across a range of centres
