This position will commence in early February 2025.Ruawai Kindergarten has a team of 5 teachers and a part-time administrator. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday, catering for 40 children between two and six years of age. The kindergarten is situated on the outskirts of Ruawai township and is part of an education hub alongside the local primary and secondary schools. The children who attend this kindergarten come from the wider Kaipara community.Ruawai is a Green Gold Enviroschool, and this kaupapa sits at the core of the philosophy and practice. Applicants interested in this role will require a willingness to align their practice to a kaupapa of sustainability. The teaching team at Ruawai Kindergarten promotes a culture of respect, independence, and responsibility, and their philosophy and practice reflect the values of manaakitanga, ako, and whakawhanaungatanga.Ruawai Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team.
