**About the Team**:
Organisational Planning, Performance and Governance (OPPG) is a team that provides important services to the Chief Executive, the Leadership Team and Ministers in relation to organisational strategic planning and decision making, governance and budget processes.
We do this by providing technical advice and governance support to the Leadership Team, through the delivery of core accountability products such as the Statement of Intent and Annual Report, through the development of the performance framework and related reporting, and through managing the development and submission of Estimates measures and Budget bids.
The OPPG unit supports the wider Ministry to align work programmes and priorities to deliver to the intent of Te Pae Tawhiti - ‘Our Future'.

Senior Advisor - Strategy & Performance - Wellington

**About the Role**:

- The Senior Advisor Strategy & Performance will be responsible for leading projects to deliver core corporate documents for MSD. You will support MSD develop and deliver its organisational strategy.
- You will also support the Ministry's planning, reporting and accountability processes be well integrated, and in line with best practice.
- You will engage effectively across MSD's internal and external stakeholders, including business groups and senior management.

**About You**:

- We are seeking someone who demonstrates proven experience of working collaboratively in a complex environment.
- You will be a strategic thinker with sound analytical skills, skilled in communication and relationship building.
- We are seeking a motivated professional with a desire to both lead and learn in a supportive and collaborative environment.

**Skills and experience**:

- To be successful in this role, you will be/have a range of transferable skills including:

- Strong relationship management and communication skills, with a flair for clear concise written communication
- Strong project management practices - i.e. good at getting the job done
- Good at problem solving, critical thinking and analysis, solutions focussed
- Experience working in government or in large and complex organisations would be an advantage
- Interest in embedding Te Ao Māori (te reo Māori, tikanga, kawa, Te Tiriti o Waitangi) into your work
- A can-do attitude, comfortable working collaboratively and flexibly to meet team priorities.
- Together with a Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience

In addition, you may have an interest or strength in one or more of these areas:

- Performance measurement - outcomes and KPIs
- Strategy and business planning - Statement of Intent, prioritisation and planning
- Government accountability processes - Annual Reports and quarterly reporting
- Skilled at analysing data and providing insights from a range of information

**Salary**: $99 546 - $120 778 (depending on skills and experience)
