**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

This role is based with Awhi Mātua, our community mental health team who serve the central Auckland population of adults over 65 who are experiencing acute mental illness or behavioral difficulties associated with dementia. The team works with people from acute crisis through to continuing care.

We are seeking an experienced mental health nurse for one of our two Referrals Management Clinician roles. Your responsibilities will include clinical triage, liaison with referrers, and phone assessments following a triage pathway. You will also work as a clinical team member in the Awhi Mātua Community Team.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders with a variety of background and experience.

You will be a NZ registered Mental Health Nurse, with a minimum of three years clinical experience.

Ideally, you will have a postgraduate certificate/diploma in speciality mental health practice.

This is a community based role, which requires a full NZ Drivers licence.

- High level organisational skills
- Possess compassion and is respecting of others, responsive to the needs of the population whom we serve.
