Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is responsible for providing and maintaining the certainty of private property ownership by recording survey and land title information and making this information available to support economic activity.
This role ensures surveys are done to define land meet the appropriate standards to support the issuing of records of title to that land. The records of title are the evidence of ownership to the land and is the record against which mortgages are registered to provide security to lending institutions. In depth training will be provided in the statutory and regulatory control that set those standards.
The role of a Property Rights Analyst (Survey) is to validate and approve cadastral survey plans prepared by private survey firms and integrate the data into New Zealand's spatial database of property boundaries. A comprehensive training programme will ensure you develop the skills and experience needed to analyse and approve these survey plans. The role requires the ability to synthesise a wide range of information to make confident decisions in line with regulatory standards.

**Day to day responsibilities include**:

- Validating and approving cadastral survey plans in line with relevant legislation and according to standard operating procedures
- Ensuring the survey data is accurately integrated into New Zealand's spatial database

**The annual salary range for this role is**: $63,694 - $74,933 depending on skills and experience.
