**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Waikato Waikids (Paediatric) early child hood team based at Waikato Hospital are seeking an experienced and highly motivated ECE Kaiako for our Childcare centre. You will provide and promote the psychosocial care of paediatric clients and their families/whanau/caregivers, through a comprehensive play facility that assists the understanding of illness, treatment and hospitalisation. This role is suited to a person who is a self-motivated, experienced Kaiako preferably with health sector knowledge looking for a challenging role that offers work life balance.

Required skills & experience you will need to be considered for this role:

- A high level of initiative and adaptability
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor degree in Teaching (ECE)/Diploma of Teaching (ECE)
- Registration with the Teachers Council of NZ as a registered Teacher
- Previous health experience is highly regarded
