We are seeking a motivated, highly engaging, analytical and passionate **Full-Time Night Manager** to join our team at **Peppers Beacon** **Queenstown. **Overlooking picturesque Lake Wakatipu and a stroll from the heart of Queenstown, **Peppers Beacon** attracts a mix of Kiwi and international guests in search of year round adventure. Admire spectacular views of the Remarkables Mountains while you work, and when not on shift enjoy the most sensational ski fields during the winter, or for summer enjoy the amazing and stunning endless outdoor adventures Queenstown offers

Full Time role - Minimum guaranteed of 30 hours per week.
Hourly pay rate between $27 - $29 NZD per hour

**The main duties and responsibilities for the Night Manager position are, but not limited to**:
- Welcoming all guests to the hotel in an efficient and friendly manner
- Handling all guest enquiries, and providing helpful information
- Checking guests in and out of our property and settling accounts
- Provide accurate and up to date financial and yield reports as directed
- Night management of hotel operations in the absence of Hotel Manager and Senior Management Team
- Actively contribute towards reaching agreed hotel targets and objectives
- Audit the daily activity of front office and food & beverage operations in accordance to policies and procedures
- Maintain responsibility for the overall auditing and administration function of the Night Audit process
- Managing and undertaking the Hotels management systems night audit process
- Be knowledgeable of Front Office systems and know back up procedures and system recovery procedures
- Process and reconcile the daily banking inline with the hotels Trust Accounting and Sync bank.
- Process and allocate payments by following strict criteria and using correct remittance documentation to ensure accuracy
- Maintain current knowledge of all security and emergency procedures and manage the instigation of such procedures as required
- Inform other departments of Guest special requests, including early/late departures and room changes
- Ensure guest feedback is recorded accurately per operational standards and any matters requiring action are resolved in a prompt and efficient manner
- Ensure guest security and privacy is maintained at all times
- Maintain awareness of all hotel areas
- Responsible for all other departments in the absence of their respective managers for the duration of the night time operation
- Take and prepare room service orders
- Participate in workplace consultation on matters pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety, as per the hotels agreed arrangements
- Invoicing Travel Agents and following up on overdue accounts
- Communicate problems, resolved or unresolved to your Supervisor at shift change over and duty log book
- Ensuring the safety of guests at all times, completing regular floor checks and managing noise concerns
- Have previous experience as a Night Manager, Duty Manager or Night Auditor
- Hold a current First Aid certificate
- Be highly personable and enthusiastic about customer service
- Have immaculate grooming and professional presentation
- Be innovative in thinking of ways to "WOW" our guests
- Be extremely organised and efficient
- Ability to balance and audit accounts and hotel operations
- Calm, efficient, and able to work well under pressure
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Current and demonstrated knowledge of health and safety and security procedures
- Understand and demonstrates the importance of being a team player
