- 0.4 FTE / Permanent Professional Advisory plus minimum of 0.2FTE clinical work

We are looking for a highly skilled Oral Health Therapists to support our teams across the Nelson/Tasman and Marlborough region as Professional Advisor.

The overall purpose of this role is to provide professional advice:

- collaborating as an active member of the Clinical Leadership Team in Clinical Governance, ongoing Quality Improvement and professional development processes of the COHS team.
- supporting our Dental and Oral Health Therapist and Dental Assistant teams in their work.

You will act as a role model, leading evidence based best practice and a positive, effective approach to care. This role requires time in both the Nelson and Blenheim region and we will work with you to ensure a sustainable programme of work from your chosen home base.

The role offers you a great team environment providing dental services to some of the 23,000 children across the region who are enrolled from birth. Our staff will tell you how much they love the relationships formed over the years with children and their families/whanau. You will have a real opportunity to change the lives of whanau/families in our region through helping us to continue to develop our service and our team.

**Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an appropriate applicant?)**
- Qualifications and experience required are:_
- Registered New Zealand Dental Therapist / Oral Health Therapist with an annual practising certificate.
- Dental Radiography Certificate for Dental Therapists
- Driver - s licence with no restrictions.
- At least four years of full time (or equivalent) clinical practice in Aotearoa.
- Significant Experience in Community Oral health Setting
- Recent proven clinical experience to a high standard.

- Aptitude/ skills for successful people leadership
- Excellent organisational skills
- A personally held clarity and vision for contemporary DT/OHT practice.
- Commitment to enhance care that is patient and whanau/family centred.
- Positive and friendly approach - can do - approach to all aspects of the role.- Te Whatu Ora staff must have completed their primary course of two NZ approved COVID-19 vaccinations._
